STEM Tech Teachers to receive summer training from innovative Chicago based tech pioneers
Technology teachers in the STEM school will be receiving training from innovative technology pioneers in Chicago this summer. Governor Pat Quinn made a special visit to highlight the amazing and high quality work they are doing with CVCA students. Staff and students are very happy to have them as a resource and anticipate visiting Merchandise Mart to see a technology "think tank"in action. Staff and students will then use this information to do special projects over the upcoming school year.
CVCA student "coupon clippers" highlight the benefits of "community based instruction"
CVCA instructor Mrs. Sanford and students participated in a "coupon clippers" project in which students demonstrated their learning by applying their skills to "real life" scenarios.

Students whose last names begin with letters A-L are invited to explore classes, meet their future teachers and see other CVCA Cavaliers in action.
CVCA Students participate in the 3rd annual ACE Alliance for Education Fashion Show, May 11, 2013
Student designers and models participated in the ACE (Action for Climate Education) Fashion Show, Saturday May 11,2013. Students designed and modeled outfits created from recyclable materials including, but not limited to newspaper, plastic bags and paper; under the guidance of art teacher Ms. Marsha George.
JROTC Military Ball to be held at the Martinique Banquet Hall, Friday, May 10, 2013
The CVCA JROTC will host a Military Ball at the Martinique Banquet Hall. There will be a bus departing from the school to transport cadets to the banquet hall. The bus will return to CVCA at approximately 12:30am. A photographer will be present to capture the moment. Picture packages are available, starting at $10.00 for a basic package (1 x 8x10 and 8 Wallet).
